The Today Offer: how the daily odds list works

One list carries every match open for betting on a given day. Fortebet calls it the Today Offer. The official Ugandan website publishes it as a paged document, and the sample I checked ran to six pages. Each line shows a match code, the kick-off date and time, the two teams and the odds.

What this means in practice:

  • Every match has a numeric code, for example a four digit number.
  • Date and time appear in short form, such as 2.10 21:30.
  • Odds for home, draw and away sit to the right of the team names.
  • Soccer fills most pages, then other sports follow at the bottom.

The match code matters most. Online, you tap the odds and the selection lands on your bet slip. At a branch, the code is how you tell the cashier what you want. One wrong digit means a different match.

The list changes during the day. Odds move, matches start and lines close. A printed copy from the morning can be out of date by evening. I always compare the code and the odds on screen before I confirm anything.

Fortebet is a new name for many players in Nigeria this year. The Nigerian offer runs on fortebet.ng, while the documents I quote come from the Ugandan domains. Our guide to fortebet.ng, fortebet.com and fortebet.ug explains which address does what.

Tip: Copy the match code, not just the team names, when you plan a bet.

Soccer leagues and other sports

Soccer makes up most of the list. The sample Today Offer opened with football and went down to small leagues. One page carried a Scottish fixture, Cumnock against Auchinleck, with odds of 3.10 and 3.50. That shows the depth. Lower divisions sit next to the big competitions.

Other sports appear further down the list. The same sample included tennis from the International Shenzhen Open. Expect a mix like this:

  • Football from top European leagues to regional divisions.
  • Tennis tournaments with match winner markets.
  • Other sports when the calendar has events.

Markets differ by match. A top fixture usually gets more markets than a small league game. A minor match may show only the main 1X2 line. Check the exact range of markets for Nigeria in the sports section of the website.

Fortebet also runs casino products alongside betting. The official site lists slots and live casino, with providers such as Pragmatic and Spribe. If you want to switch from football to games, see the slots and live casino section. For a full picture of the brand in Nigeria, start on the Fortebet home page.

Tip: Small leagues have less public data, so keep stakes modest there.

Play with money you can afford to lose. Betting is for adults only.

Bet types: singles, multiples, live

Three formats cover most Fortebet betting. Each one carries a different level of risk.

Singles

A single is one pick with one stake. The payout is the stake times the odds. If the pick loses, you lose only that stake. I use singles when I am unsure about a match.

Multiples

A multiple joins several picks on one slip. The odds multiply, so the possible return grows. One wrong pick loses the whole slip. More selections mean a lower chance that every pick wins.

  • Two picks at 2.00 give combined odds of 4.00.
  • Five picks raise the return but cut the chance sharply.
  • Every leg must win for the slip to pay.

Live bets

Live betting happens during the match. Odds follow the score and the clock. A goal can lock a market for seconds or longer. On mobile, a slow connection can mean the odds change before you confirm.

Many sportsbooks offer cash out or a bet builder. I could not find these features in the Fortebet documents I read. Check the bet slip on the website to see if they are available for Nigeria. Every price also includes the bookmaker's margin, so odds are never a free forecast.

The mobile app and mobile site make live bets easier when you are away from a desktop.

Tip: Start with singles until you know how the slip settles.

Retail betting rules and online bets

The retail betting rules name Massalia Ltd. as the operator. The official Ugandan site states this in point 1.1. The listed address is Plot 3 Dundas Road, Kololo Courts, Lower Kololo, Kampala, Uganda. Fortebet runs shops as well as an online sportsbook, so retail rules exist next to the online terms.

For you as a player, the key points are:

  • Shop bets and online bets can follow separate rule documents.
  • The site lists deposit at branch as a payment option.
  • The footer states that minors are not allowed.
  • The site warns that betting is addictive and can be harmful.

Licence details for Nigeria were not in the documents I checked. Please verify the licence and the Nigerian terms on fortebet.ng before you deposit. The verified payment data comes from the Ugandan site and uses UGX. That site lists MTN mobile money and Airtel money. The minimum MTN deposit is 1,000 UGX. Limits are 5,000,000 UGX per transaction and 20,000,000 UGX per 24 hours. Nigerian methods and limits may differ. See our deposits, withdrawals and limits page for the current picture.

Support on the Ugandan site runs through toll free lines 0800 202 202 and 0800 303 303. It also lists [email protected] and a WhatsApp line for contact from abroad, +256 783 125 655.

Tip: Read the rules for the channel you actually use, shop or online.

Welcome offer and sports promotions

A first deposit match of 100% up to ₦100,000 is a typical figure on the Nigerian market. I did not find a confirmed Fortebet bonus amount in the documents I checked. Treat the figure at the top of this page as a market example. The real offer for Nigeria and its terms are on fortebet.ng.

Before you claim any sports bonus, check these points:

  • The minimum deposit that qualifies for the offer.
  • The wagering requirement and the minimum odds per selection.
  • Whether singles count or only multiples.
  • The deadline to meet the conditions.

Bonus money usually cannot be withdrawn straight away. Wagering must be completed first. A promo code may be needed at sign up or at deposit. Details on codes and current deals are on the promo code and offers page.

Tip: Read the wagering terms before the first deposit, not after.

Bet slip tips and cancelling mistakes

A 10 minute window applies to some transactions. The official site says an online account is credited instantly. A transaction can be cancelled within 10 minutes if there is a mistake. This line appears near the deposit information, so it covers payments. Do not assume a placed bet can be cancelled the same way.

My checklist before every slip:

  • Match code matches the fixture you want.
  • Odds on the slip are the odds you expected.
  • The stake amount has the right number of zeros.
  • Multiples contain no duplicate or wrong legs.

If something goes wrong, contact support at once. Have your account details, the time and the slip number ready. Quick contact gives the best chance of a fix within any time limit.

Set your own limits too. Decide a weekly betting amount and keep to it. If betting stops being fun, take a break. Login help is on the sign in guide.

Tip: Take a screenshot of the slip before you confirm.

18+. Set a budget before you start and keep to it.
